My name was not drawn for this round of Lori Anderson's Bead Soup Blog Party; at first I was very sad about that, but this year has been a whirlwind of unexpected crises and changes, so it was a blessing in disguise. My creative well is beyond empty. It has been crushed and obliterated into nothing. (Yeah, I know, melodramatic much?)
I have several shows coming up, and very little stock. I've been trying to force my muse, and of course she's having nothing of that. I've stayed away from the things that bring me joy and inspire me. Sometimes, it is the little things that can ignite the flames. My second BSBP partner, Diane Cook of Rosa and Josie's posted a giveaway on her blog, and in the post she mentioned her Bead Soup partners, including me. Her work is so beautiful and delicate. Just looking at her work brought a smile to my face. It felt good. Check out Marian's blog and Nan's blog for some more inspiring art!

Hey Melissa...long time no see...I havnt been around for a while now...connection issues...anyway new iPad...new wireless connection...back on line...boy I have missed everyone...thank goodness for my cell and Facebook or I would have been in the loonie bin...know you are not alone...I too have been struggling with my creative muse...I haven't made anything in at least 6 months...been dealing with depression...finally talked Bout it out loud with my face book friends...they have been so encouraging and supportive...I finally got into my studio and dusted off and put away orders that have been coming in...anyway your muse will come back...you are very talented...maybe take a look at old creations...or pick up a copy of your favorite magazine for inspiration..You know we don't live that far from each other...we should get together for coffee and maybe u can show me some beads shops over there and we can inspire each other...it was so nice to visit your blog again...I'll be back soon...ttfn {{{hugs}}} lana.
good to hear from you, lana. :)
You are going to make it and the muse will come back. Start with simple basic things that you always need like head pins, make 200. It always works for me because after 200 of anything I go crazy and have to do something else.
great advice, Tracy. Thank you!
Hey Melissa...thanks for mentioning me! Have a great Thursday, you deserve it...diane xo
